Religion is directly linked to belief and has main issue of Spirit. Spirit is that can be seperated from its
body and has to have the ability to live itself or with body as a life. Religion is more than ethics/moral
which is related to bodily life. The denominator of spritual life and bodily life for societic life is 'respect'
'no hurting/harming' as well as 'education for acheiving better life'.
Siddhārtha Gautama - Śākyamuni thought (or buddhists think) that animals have spirit.
But I think animals don't have spirit. I think he thought as it because the evolution of living beings.
He was a great philosopher.
Long long time ago the most of residences have only a room/space or not enough rooms for a family.
Usually a whole family lived in a room or two. The parents had to strictly prohibited sex because it could
happen among their children and their daughters could be pregnant through it. In addition of it
sex could be always a big problem maker of their children for them to their neighbours, too.
And sex could bring their children venereal disease. Sex could disturb their children's study.
It couldn't get their children positive things. So they had to start strictly prohibit sex other than in marriage.
This kind of things used to go escalated. In the age of puberty they started to struggle with this matter and
think sex is a kind of moral crime.
